Rakuten Loyalty and SavingStar Partner to Launch a New Cashback Mall Empowering Shoppers to Earn Cash Rewards for Shopping Online

Loyalty technology leader Rakuten Loyalty has partnered with the fast growing grocery eCoupon and online shopping site SavingStar, to launch the SavingStar Cashback Mall where members earn cash for their online purchases. The new Cashback Mall provides SavingStar members an additional way to earn cash, building on the service’s existing digital grocery rewards program. Now, SavingStar shoppers can earn cash for their purchases at hundreds of popular online stores featuring top brands.

To complement the Cashback Mall, Rakuten Loyalty has built and deployed the SavingStar Cashback Browser Toolbar, an online shopping tool that keeps members up-to-date on the latest cashback deals. With the toolbar installed, members are notified of available deals as soon as they land on participating retailer sites with in-browser alerts.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a great site like SavingStar, a leader in the digital grocery coupon space. Rakuten Loyalty was a perfect fit to expand SavingStar’s rewards program and offerings to members,” said John Reistrup, COO. “With the new cashback mall, we are excited to be able to increase engagement, empower the consumer with yet another way to earn cashback, and provide SavingStar with an entirely new revenue stream.”

“With the launch of our Cashback Mall, SavingStar is making it easier than ever for families to save money on their online purchases,” said David Rochon, CEO of SavingStar. “With our digital grocery coupons and now our cashback shopping mall, SavingStar is ‘The smart and simple way to save.’ Especially with the holiday season upon us, SavingStar will help families save hundreds of dollars.”
